Design Development
After presenting the concept design drawings to the client, the next step involves incorporating the client comments and suggestions into a more refined design. In this phase of design we add detail to the concept drawings, and the result is usually a set of drawings that can be used for preliminary pricing or permitting, but not for construction. Additional detail would include grading and drainage, detailed paving design, and more detailed planting and tree protection drawings.
