Griscom Square

South Fork Studio has partnered with Pilli Development on projects for years, ranging from historic restorations to small subdivisions in the Annapolis area. Griscom Square is a 12-lot residential subdivision combining the real estate and investment foresight of Pilli Development, with the sensitive site design of South Fork Studio.

The 3.35 acre project site was created by combining two existing properties with the underused 'backyards' of several adjacent neighbors. The site includes partially forested land and property which fronts along two secondary roads. Tree preservation was a major focus of this site design, as was the use of low impact storm water management techniques such as rain gardens. Additionally there was a goal to create the feel of a neighborhood which had evolved over time rather than being built all at once. South Fork Studio worked closely with Pilli Development to design the layout of all roads, lots, houses, stormwater management and tree preservation areas.
