Ogle Hall was constructed in 1739, has been home to three Maryland State governors, survived two fires and has been a landmark in Annapolis prior to its purchase by the U.S. Naval Academy's Alumni Association in 1944. But it recently became clear to the leadership of the alumni association that the historic building, which is the anchor of their campus, needed to be made accessible to visitors with disabilities.
In 2007 the Alumni Association embarked on a $2 million enhancement project that included the addition of an elevator, other interior renovations and the overhaul of an existing patio around which the buildings of their campus are organized. South Fork Studio was responsible for designing custom bronze hand railings, wrought iron gates, brick garden walls, brick paving, lighting and planting.
